Ariens, Simplicity, Toro & Honda all make excellent machines. You won't go wrong with anyone of these.

Since I think Wheel Horse made the best stuff ever I would say that, but they are now Wheel Horse/Toro. You can go online and see a range of their products. I have an old 1968 Wheel Horse Auto Electric, I have a long drive and live in southern Iowa, I have a factory option snow plow for the front and I push out my drive plus my neighbors and the local fire station. I finally broke down and made a set of chains for it and it has unbelievable power. Most people say John Deere is good, but to me it is hype. Even the cooling fan on my Wheel horse is cast iron, you won't find quality like that anymore. In the summer I put a mower deck on it and mow for others plus the city. I am still looking for a tiller deck for it.
