Snowblower starts to stumble after its warmed up, (but not consistently).?
This is an 8 h.p. Tecumseh, model HMSK80 155693V, engine family YTPX3.3182BF, that drives a MTD 24" snowblower, purchased on December 29, 2000. Sometimes the engine runs perfect and I can clean the entire driveway with no stalling. Other times, it seems like when it warms up, it will stall unless I back off on the load, and baby it. Eventually it will die completely if I keep working it so instead I bring it back in the garage and let it cool for about 45 minutes. Then it will usually start right away and will run flawlessly no matter how much of a load I put on it. At first I suspected a bad plug since it was the original plug. that didn't fix it so I then suspected water in the gas and added dry gas in both my large 5 gallon fuel can, and in the snowblower tank itself. That didn't fix it either. I now think that I have a bad magneto coil, bad plug wire, or bad electronic ignition module. Since it's not likely to be the mag or the plug wire, I'm thinking module. Your guess?

Two guesses. Either electical malfunction, could be wiring that gets hot or comes into contact with other metal and shuts it down. Or, could be neopreme diaphram in carb, especially if you have run ethanol gas in it. If cracked or broken down, allows too much gas into unit, and it will run rough then shut down.
That engine doen't have a diaphram carburetor. But it sounds like there is some debris in the carb. It may need to be removed and cleaned. You may try removing the bowl on the bottom of the carb and cleaning it and the main jet.
