Serious dandruff, what to do?

Hello, ever since I used some really old shampoo that smelled good and probably turned into something alcoholic when I was 12, I've been having some serious dandruff issues. Okay, if I cut my hair really short, the dandruff isn't as severe as when I try to keep my hair long. I haven't been diagnosed with any kind of disease (no, I don't have Vitamin D deficiency) and doctors are telling me it's just part of puberty and that "it's natural" and all the bullcrap. But I just know it's that shampoo I put in my hair a few years ago!

Is there anyway to cure dandruff - or at least, keep the severity to the minimum. I've already tried a variety of shampoos, including the oh-so-effective head and shoulder to no avail.

Is there a way to temporarily keep all the dandruff within my head and not fall out so at least I don't act like a "snow blower" in my school?

Thanks.

A herbal rinse is a safe method of removing dandruff. Apply lemon juice with the rind on the scalp .After 5 minutes wash off with shampoo and water. More simple remedies for dandruff at http://usefulinfo-dandruff.blogspot.com/
