Might I reccommend taking a unguided trip? It will be a lot cheaper and probobly a lot more fun due to the fact that you wont be on such a strict schedule. I could be biased to this.... I just prefer to do my own thing. I can understand if you don't like this answer because I havnt put much input in about your itenerary.... but let me suggest one to you. Dublin, Ireland --> Manchester, England --> London, England --> Paris, France --> Frankfurt, Germany --> Munich, Germany --> Berlin Germany --> Alps --> Zurich, Switzerland --> Milan, Italy --> Venice, Italy --> Florence, Italy --. Rome, Italy. I especially reccomend Germay. Tons of history there. Plenty of castles and old towns. Great food too. Rome as well. The Colloseum will take your breath away. Right next to it is Palantine hill which is awesome to walk through. If you choose the option to not take a tour, make sure you have a good guide book so that you know what you are looking at.
