Is there an attachment for my side-discharge push mower to turn it into a side-discharge snow-blower?

I'm imagining a brush like attachment (replace blade with brush). And I'm not talking about 10 inches of snow, but for say up to an inch or two.

the mower would not have enough power to push the snow

Never heard of one but it may indeed be possible..
    Not a bad idea..

I expect the engine is too close to the working area (blade and housing). The heat from the engine would likely melt the snow before it could be thrown out the side. At best it would probably slush up and build up until it couldn’t push anymore out.

If you are really intent on using your mower, maybe a high lift mulching mower blade would work. but for only a inch or so its easier to just use a snow shovel.

Their was an "Ariens" brand in the 70’s that was detachable & turned into three pieces. A mower, snow blower & a lawn vacuum. It was knuckle driven & the snow blower would handle upto 5-6 inches. For each season you just had to switch over to the next unit.
