I have a troy bilt snow blower with a tecumseh 5.0 engine what kind of oil do i use?

    pretty sure it’s not 4 cycle or 2 cycle so i will say use 10w 30.

    ive always used straight 30 w on all my small engines

    For a snowblower, Tecumseh recommends 5W-30 or SAE 10 for its engines. SAE 30 is only good down to 32 degrees, while 5W-30 protects up to 40 degrees. Hope this helps.

    Use a 5W-30 oil in it. Mines an 8 HP tecumseh and thats what I use. Straight 30 is too heavy of an oil for the cold weather a snow blower is used in.
