I HAVE A CRAFTSMAN SNOW BLOWER,THE WHEELS ARE LOCKED,I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING?
AUGER WORKS GREAT,STARTS RIGHT UP RUNS STRONG,BELTS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE,I HAVE LUBED DRIVE CHAINS,I TIPPED IT OVER EVER THING IS IN PLACE BUT THEY ARE LOCKED,GOOD RUBBER ON THE DRIVE WHEEL,THE TENSION IS WORKING FINE, WHEN I PUT IT INTO GEAR THE ENGINE PEPS UP,PLEASE HELP???

whats the model # , I am wondering and just guessing since i can’t see it, if there is a neutral or is it gear driven or hydrostatic drive? if gear driven rocking it back and forth and changing gear select lever may break it loose, if its locked and there is a neutral position than I would check linkage, than open gearbox and look for the part that came loose and is stuck in the gears
Similar question, moved snow blower and it rolled freely out of garage in reverse and then wheels locked and we basically had to drag or carry snow blower back in garage because wheels would not release and turn freely. Brother in-law is a jerk and claimed the problem is we bent the frame (not the case unless the frame bends from rolling the wheels freely when removing from a storage place). Never started it, only rolled it freely backward to get it out of garage so work could be done in garage. When we wanted to return to garage wheels were locked and would not turn in either forward or reverse position. First question, WHY? Second question, how do we fix/solve this issue?
