Smaller snow blowers have one augur that control the movement of the snow up and out the shoot. In either case, the augurs are positioned in such a way as the force the snow into a smaller and smaller area creating a moving force that allows for the discharge shoot to work. Just remember to keep the shoot pointed downwind as much a possible.
