Most larger snow blowers actually have two augers - one to pull the snow into a central area and the other to force the snow up and out the shoot.

Smaller snow blowers have one augur that control the movement of the snow up and out the shoot.

In either case, the augurs are positioned in such a way as the force the snow into a smaller and smaller area creating a moving force that allows for the discharge shoot to work.

Just remember to keep the shoot pointed downwind as much a possible. Otherwise, you will get snow blown back into your face :-)

The tines circulate the snow up to the blower and throws it out all over the place.

it all starts in the front where the axle is and the augers start turning there pointed to the middle on both sides so as you go there pull the snow inwards that usually hits kind of like a metal fan thing that spins 360 and usually so fast that it creates a vacuum so it lifts the snow out from the augers and up threw the chute that blows the snow to the left or right chosen in direction of the user.
