No electricity, automobile, television, radio, telephone, sewing machine, snow blower, tractor, microwave, modern conveniences, dancing, movies, etc

    No way. I like to go camping for the weekend. That's Amish enough for me. I like my extras in life. Cell Phone Car Radio…….to many things i love to give up. I like the furniture though. Keep it coming my friendly Amish people.

    There are lots of Amish that test themselves, if you watch the documentary, "devils playground". Teens leave the community and go off on there own to the outside world. They drive, drink, take drugs etc. They then choose if they wish to return to the Amish community or not.

    I could, The simple life sounds great. But I would miss my friends and family. But if I can drink, I'll be cool.

    for that aspect? yeah..but for 2 reasons. 1. i refuse to follow Christianity and 2. i gotta have my laptop!! :D

    the amish have sewing machines…i thought..i have an old singer that uses your feet to make it run, no electricity.and if they can have roller blades they can have the antique singer to.

    maybe for a week or so, but just as a way to get away from society, and then when I'm comfortable, I'll return back to society.
