An old Ariens snowblower?

I have an old Ariens snowblower with a detachable front half (the first and second stage). I am having a problem getting the drive belt back on the front half. The belt has too much slack. Does anyone know how the belt is suppose to back on?
The model number is 924042. Thanks again for any help!

I'm looking at the repair manual for a 94032. and it shows an "adjustable attachment idler" wheel that moves and applies pressure to the drive belt. (Very similar to the idler wheel on the belt of your car engine.)
If it is a good machine I would internet Ariens and obtain a manual for your machine this giving you not only the maintenance procedures but all the part numbers as well. Good Luck!
