42″ Snow blower attachment for John Deere question about belts.?
I have a 42" snowblower attachment for my John Deere L120 riding mower. I have downloaded the manual for the blower off the JD web site but the photos are of very poor quality. What I really need is someone to send me a pic of the proper belt routing for both the PTO belt and the V belt that goes to the jack shaft pully on the blower. I think I have it routed proper but there seems to be too much slack in it. I have the idler pully pulled as far as it will go and it just seems like the belt should be more taut. Thanks.
You need to talk to your local JD dealer. Most of the time the consumer info is only half there. Don't bother asking Lowe's or Home Depot. They just sell the equipment.
